Lip Corner Stretch
4m 36s
With this exercise we are going to stretch three muscles that are attached to the corners of our lips.
This one is quite tricky, so don’t worry if it takes a bit of time to get it right.
These muscles responsible for pulling the corners of our lips up, sideways, and down.
Start by grabbing and pulling out the left corner of your lips with your right hand, and with your left hand feel around for the muscle that pulls this corner sideways.
Then gently squeeze it between your thumb and index finger and gently stretch it by pulling outwards.
Be careful not to bruise your skin if you prone to easy bruising.
Then we do the same to the muscle that lifts your lip corner up. Feel the muscle, make sure you have caught it between your fingers,
then gently stretch it.
Great! And now we stretch ‘the sad muscle’, that pulls our lip corners down.
Hold your lip corner with your right hand and find the muscle that pulls it down with your left. Grab it and gently stretch. This one is the hardest to find.
Be really careful if you have long nails.
Alright!
Lets move to the other side!
We grab the lip corner, find the muscle and stretch it. First - the one that pulls our lip corner sideways.
Then the one that lifts our lip corners up in a happy smile.
And then the muscle that pulls them down.
Alright.
Now we give a little stretch to our circular mouth muscle.
Start with grabbing your lip corners as far as you can and slowly pull them away from your face and towards each other.
Then grab again a little closer to the middle of your lips and stretch it out.
And then stretch out the middle.
Now we are going to stretch it along by gently pressing from the middle of the lips towards corners. Just like that.
And one more time.
This exercise can be repeated once or twice a week.
Ok, now let's lift our cheeks back up and we are done!
